Inspiring and Impactful Practices led by Professor Julie Fisher
At the heart of effective practice in Key Stage 1 lies a clear understanding of the development of young children and the knowledge of how best to support their learning through our environment and our approach to teaching and learning. Join us for this truly inspiring online event designed to help school leaders and class teachers consider how best to support their children; so they are able to connect and embed learning across the curriculum.
The first part provides an ideal opportunity for you to strategically consider your approach to teaching and learning in Key Stage One. Professor Julie Fisher will consider recent evidence about how young children learn and invite us to explore whether our current practice in Key Stage One successfully reflect these.
The second part will focus on a range of practical approaches for developing child-led learning and ensuring progression across the Key Stage – drawing on inspiring examples of sustained and impactful change from schools across the country.
