Understanding & nurturing children’s personal development
Well-being and involvement underpin all aspects of children’s learning and development, and a deep understanding of both will ensure the child is put at the centre of all we do and will thrive.
This introductory webinar will provide an overview of the work carried out at Leuven University by Professor Dr. Ferre Laevers as we explore the Process Oriented Monitoring System (POMS) and consider how to assess and support children emotionally and cognitively.
There will be an introduction to the screening process and the Ten Action Points, the audit tool developed by the Leuven team, and delegates will gain practical ideas about how to develop practice and provision to ensure raised levels of well-being and involvement for their children.
Benefits:
Explore the critical role that well-being and involvement play in high quality learning
Gain an overview of the signs and signals for Well-being and Involvement, and how to use the Leuven Scales
Consider how to maximise the potential of your learning environment and interactions to ensure best progress
