In light of the revised EYFS, many schools and settings are reviewing their curriculum to ensure that it meets the statutory requirements, the needs of their children and truly reflects their vision and values.
In this course, we will help you to explore the new EYFS Educational Programmes and consider how they can be effectively realised within the whole learning environment, through effective planning, teaching and modelling.
As well as examining how your curriculum supports learning in the Prime and Specific Areas, we will look closely at the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning to ensure these strengthen these as children progress through the EYFS.
You can opt to join the three-part webinar programme, or join a full day face-to-face event where all three sessions will be delivered during the day with time for further discussion.

In the first part of this course we will look at what curriculum means in the EYFS and the core principles of successful curriculum design. We will consider how your curriculum connects meaningfully to your school’s/setting’s vision and the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning.
Bringing the Curriculum to Life
We will go on to examine the Educational Programmes that form the statutory curriculum ‘skeleton’ of the Revised EYFS. We will look at how we can fulfil and meaningfully enrich these requirements within our learning environments and the experiences we offer our children. Drawing on practical examples, we will consider the implications for planning, ensuring depth of learning and crucially, the holistic nature of Early Childhood learning and development.
