Join us at the National Centre for our first Twilight Evening for the new school year
As we head towards one of our favourite seasons of the year here at Early Excellence and celebrate all things Autumnal, we are opening the doors of our National Centre for our first FREE Twilight Event of the year. It’s the perfect opportunity for you and your colleagues to relax together to explore our displays and join our three seasonal mini workshops packed with practical ideas to make the most of the changing season and embrace the outdoors – whatever the weather!
4:15pm | Session 1: Language, Leaves & Woodlice with Matthew Sayer
Outdoors offers us a rich variety of everyday contexts to notice, to talk and to wonder, and this session will encourage you to maximise the potential of those opportunities all year round.
4:45pm | Session 2: Discovery and Learning Beyond the Classroom with Nova Robinson
Explore practical and inspiring strategies for maximising the geographical and scientific potential of your wider school grounds.
5:15pm | Session 3: Inspiring Mathematical Thinking Outdoors with Andy Burt
If we are going to teach maths effectively outdoors, we need to see the wonderful mathematical possibilities of large scale, physical play. Join us to explore how the key to making maths much more meaningful lies in how we use our outdoor spaces.
