Rethinking Routines in KS1: Too Much to Do, Can’t Fit it All in?

Exploring Routines & How to Cover the Curriculum in KS1

Description

The expectations of the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum can seem overwhelming: no matter how many times we re-design out timetables, it can seem impossible to cover every aspect in sufficient depth. As a result, time for children to explore and extend their own learning can be reduced or possibly removed entirely.

This practical, full day’s session will provide you with simple ways to embed key learning in Continuous Provision, classroom routines, and expectations, ensuring that children revisit and reinforce skills in ways that will deepen understanding.
