Senior Leader Briefing - Early Autumn 2025
Providing School Leaders with clarity, advice & guidance to understand the implications of national issues & policy direction
Description
The end of this summer term has seen the publication of a number of significant documents. It is clear that there is an ever-increasing focus on the early years by the DfE, with a particularly bright spotlight being shone on Reception and the role school leaders have in ensuring children have the best possible experience in that year. As well as this, we have seen the announcement of the ambitious strategy to strengthen services for families through a network of up to 1,000 Best Start Family Hubs.
In addition, we have seen the launch of the new DfE Writing Framework. This guidance document has been designed to support schools in reviewing and strengthening practice, and has already led to much discussion about the messages relating to Early Years and Key Stage One.
Also anticipated for the start of the new term are the results of the consultation into proposed changes to the Ofsted Inspection Framework, which is due to be fully up and running in November.
With the multiple changes to statutory requirements in the EYFS from this September, preparations required to fulfil the new EYFS Nutrition Guidance, the headlines listed above, and no doubt more to come; keeping up to date as the new academic year begins can be challenging for anyone in a leadership role. Join us for our Early Autumn Senior Leaders Briefing to ensure that you have all the latest information to support you and your team.
