Description

Session 1: Exploring Learning Outdoors in the Early Years

In this session, we’ll dive into the unique and special nature of outdoor learning, exploring why it’s such a vital part of young children’s development.

We’ll begin to explore how to plan, organise, and resource outdoor spaces to offer a wide range of learning opportunities. Reflecting on the adult’s role, we’ll explore how to enrich, deepen, and challenge children’s outdoor experiences to maximise their potential.

Session 2: The Power of Books in Provision

In this session we will be exploring ways to enrich the learning provision with high quality texts. Together we will look  at how books inspire and connect with children’s interests; we will consider practical examples of how we can use books to strengthen the learning environment in a powerful way for young children and reflect on the connection between books and the curriculum.

Session 3: Exploring SEND in the Early Years

At the heart of the EYFS is the principle of the ‘Unique Child,’ emphasising the importance of valuing each child’s interests and understanding their individual learning needs. In this session, we will begin to explore how practitioners can create truly accessible and inclusive environments for all children.

Focusing on children with SEND, we’ll share a range of best practice examples to help you become the best possible learning partner for every child.
