Description

Session 1: A Sense of Place: Exploring the Dubai Child Guidance

In this session we will explore the concept of ‘Sense of Place’ and how this relates to the early years.  We will also reflect on the requirement that Dubai schools must ensure that children have opportunities to engage in local and wider community experiences, activities, and learning - recognising themselves as a global citizen of Dubai.

Session 2: The Whole Picture: Exploring Assessment in the Early Years

In this session we will reflect on how assessment underpins a responsive, well-sequenced curriculum. We will review how to meaningfully capture children’s learning journey, exploring ways to capture valuable baseline information and to support effective transitions.

Session 3: A Habitat for Wonder: Exploring Classroom Design

This session will focus on the principles for designing an effective and enabling environment. Packed with practical top tips, you will explore resources as well as free tools which will inspire the whole team as you start to plan your classrooms for the new academic year.
