Description
This full day course has been designed to support EYFS leaders and teachers to review and develop their STEM provision. Packed with inspiration and practical ideas, delegates will be encouraged to think deeply about each element of STEM; Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
Considering learning and progression across the curriculum, delegates will be challenged to develop their knowledge and understanding about how best to support and extend children’s thinking, build effective practice and strengthen teaching.
Over the course of the day, delegates will:

Audit current teaching of STEM provision and practice

Review the statutory STEM curriculum and beyond

Consider how young children learn

Explore practical examples of pedagogical approaches that support the implementation of the STEM curriculum and embed children’s understanding

Focus on the role of the adult in responding to children’s fascinations
