This bite-sized CPD session forms part of a wider series designed to support senior leaders in driving improvement, raising standards and strengthening early years practice. Each session maintains a strong focus on principled practice while aligning closely with current inspection priorities, with particular emphasis on child development, high-quality provision and effective leadership.
This session explores the role of the environment in supporting children’s learning, independence and well-being. It encourages leaders to reflect on how effectively indoor and outdoor spaces align with curriculum intent, promote inclusive practice and provide high-quality learning opportunities. The session also considers how environments contribute to children’s engagement, development and sense of belonging, while meeting key inspection expectations around inclusion and quality of provision.
