Support for Teachers Moving into the EYFS

An insightful introduction to practice and provision for ECTs and those new to teaching in the EYFS

Description

Join us for this package of three webinars which have been designed to provide a highly informative introduction to teaching and learning in the Early Years.

Each 90-minute webinar places focus on the key aspects of EYFS pedagogy, equipping you with the knowledge and skills that underpin a clear and principled approach to Early Years practice. You will also receive additional resources to use back in school and to enrich your learning.

Part 1: Child Development and a Rich EYFS Curriculum

Look closely at the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework Curriculum and explore child development theories.

Part 2: Creating Effective Continuous Provision in the EYFS

An opportunity for careful and reasoned considerations about the learning environment which you provide. Reflect on how carefully planned routines, organisation and resources promote a broad range of learning and development opportunities.

Part 3: Ensuring Impactful Adult Interactions

Our final webinar will explore a wide range of elements. Consider the importance of relationships, your knowledge of children and your role in observing and documenting, supporting play and extending learning.

Benefits:

  • Deepen your knowledge of child development theories and shape your early years pedagogy

  • Explore the connection between the learning environment and developing routines for learning within your provision

  • Understand the holistic nature of the early years and develop strategies to support and extend children’s learning and development
