Strengthening Learning and Development in the Early Years

Early Excellence are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Frontier Education, Dubai. Once again, we will be running a series of free 45-minute webinars to support Early Years Teams with evaluating and developing their provision and practice.

Description

Session 1: Exploring Early Years Principles and Practice

In this session we will update you on some of latest Early Years Education headlines from England, recent school case studies, and share examples of international research focused on developing high quality practice in the early years and beyond!
We will also guide you through the latest free resources we have produced to support you and your team. From Podcasts to Audit Tools, Blogs to Webinars; you will discover ideas and inspiration for early years leaders, teachers, and your wider team.

Session 2: Looking at Progression in the Learning Environment

In many early years classrooms we frequently find similar areas of provision, but how can we ensure appropriate progression? In this session we will explore how we extend and enrich learning through the careful planning, resourcing, and enhancement of our learning environments.
Packed with practical ideas, this session will unpick how familiar areas of provision can be used successfully with children of different ages to inspire engagement, develop expertise and to connect with the curriculum.

Session 3: Creating Story Factories: The Power of Small World Play

Story is central to the development of children’s communication, language, and literacy. Small world play allows children to explore, experiment with and reflect on feelings and events and to develop creative thinking.
This session will look at practical ways of creating a stimulating environment where children are given time to develop their ideas through small world provision – supported by adults who are skilled at extending learning, enriching vocabulary, sparking conversations and developing authors!
