Join us for this course which is either offered as a full day course or as a programme of three webinars and has been designed to provide insightful CPD opportunities for your early years team.

Packed with new ideas and inspiration, this course places outdoor learning in the spotlight and will focus in turn on Principles, Provision and Practice. You will also receive additional resources to use back in school and to enrich your learning.

 

Establish Principles: Exploring the Special Nature of Outdoor Learning

Explore the key principles of effective learning outdoors. Reflect on the special, unique nature of the outdoors and consider why outdoor learning is such a vital part of young children’s experience.

Rethink Provision: How to Maximise Opportunities Outdoors

Focus on what children are naturally driven to do and consider how best to plan, organise and resource outdoors to encourage the widest range of opportunities.

Develop Practice: What do Adults Need to Know and Do Outdoors

Consider the adult role and how to best complement, enrich, deepen and challenge children’s experiences to maximise the potential of the outdoors learning.
