Every Child, Every Day: Supporting Children with SEND in the Early Years

Developing Independence in the Learning Environment

Description

At the heart of the EYFS lies the principle of the ‘Unique Child’ and how we need to value their interests and understand their needs as a learner. This requires us as practitioners to ensure that we create environments that are truly accessible to all children. Drawing on examples of best practice, this workshop will look at practical ways for you to develop your provision meaningfully and appropriately for all your children. We will consider strategies to support children with SEND in fully accessing the learning environment and reflect on how we can ensure every child has a ‘voice’.

Benefits:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of SEND in the Early Years

  • Explore ways to develop a truly accessible and inclusive learning environment

  • Consider how your learning environment can be used to support the learning of children with SEND
