Senior Leader Briefing: Summer 2025
Providing School Leaders with clarity, advice & guidance to understand the implications of national issues & policy direction
Description
As this academic year draws to a close, join us for the Summer 2025 Senior Leader Briefing to hear the latest national updates and practical guidance on supporting your youngest children and those working with them.
Two significant consultations drew to a close in April, Ofsted’s new inspection model and the DfE’s consultation on accountability, and there will be greater clarity on ‘what next’ for schools.
This crucial session will also be considering the DfE’s ‘Plan for Change’ and the implications this has for supporting the increasing number of children in the early years with SEND.
Having identified that ‘The socio-economic gap for educational attainment remains stubbornly large, and young people with SEND make less progress than their peers’, we will explore the key messages from Curriculum and Assessment Review interim report and the possible changes ahead.
As always, we will also be providing you with examples of the latest research and guidance to strengthen leadership and practice in the EYFS and KS1, including an exploration of the latest tool from the Education Endowment Foundation which shines a spotlight on the critical role of teaching assistants.
There are many other changes to the statutory requirements for the EYFS which come into place in September so this vital session will unpack the details and provide clear strategic guidance for you to ensure that you and your team are fully prepared.
