More than Words: Breathing Life into Your KS1 Curriculum

A full day online seminar led by Professor Julie Fisher supporting Curriculum Conversations

Description

Join us as we feature the latest work of Professor Julie Fisher, who has designed a clear structure for curriculum development and has been supporting schools to strengthen their curriculum plans and help review the impact on learning.

For many schools, the debate surrounding curriculum development has continued over the last year and become an ongoing professional journey of reflecting on what children learn, step by step, through the school.  Developing a curriculum that not only fulfils statutory requirements, but goes beyond, connecting with their school vision, and crucially values the ‘curriculum of the child’.

During this insightful and practical day, Julie will introduce her most recent findings and thinking about curriculum design and implementation, examining how this relates to our knowledge of how young children learn and the relationship of the curriculum to the wider learning environment.

In the afternoon Nova Robinson, Early Excellence KS1 Consultant, will introduce a wealth of practical and impactful examples of how schools have lifted their curriculum from the page and brought it imaginatively and powerfully to life!
