Strengthening Subject Leaders Knowledge of the EYFS

Whole School Programme: Curriculum Progression Right from the Start in the EYFS

Description

Invest in this series of linked webinars for your school and gain help to address the expectation from the DfE and Ofsted that the curriculum starts at the beginning of a child’s journey in school. This has significant implications for all Subject Leaders responsible for curriculum design, monitoring of curriculum implementation and the evaluation of the impact on children’s outcomes.

To support schools with this challenge we have designed a unique programme of linked webinars that aim to strengthen Subject Leader understanding of core principles of Early Years and how these are translated into practice, the curriculum and assessment.

The programme is designed to upskill all Subject Leaders, enabling the whole team to examine key aspects of the revised EYFS and how these connect to each aspect of the curriculum, giving practical strategies to support their leadership roles. The programme also explores the relationship between teaching and child-initiated learning across the curriculum and will address key issues around progression and depth of understanding – considering how skills, knowledge and understanding can be woven successfully throughout each child’s whole school learning journey, building on truly secure foundations.

  • Examine ways to ensure the curriculum is meaningfully connected across a school
